i hate to mention it, as in retrospect it's a film with an awful lot of weird and not subtle racist undertones floating around, but when i think about what sort of impact ai systems will have on culture (advantages conferred to brainy genes deleted) i often wonder if it might turn mike judge's idiocratic dystopian nightmare into an actual real-world reality.
