Yes they are, and that's part of what so disillusioning about AI. Every major media company and corporation is going all in on AI as much as they can afford to. It will win, not because AI can create a superior product but simply because companies will push AI generated content over alternatives because it's cheaper, and advertising will train people to accept it as good enough.
Go build something that doesn't suck. They're not even trying to compete with that.
