Ukraine is partly occupied by a much bigger country and you're talking about SUVs. At this stage zelensky could be a literal nazi and noone would care.

Nothing inflames people like injustice.

Also, Turkey decided to occupy a part of Cyprus (and they still do). But that's OK because they are allies, right? And Taiwan engaged in literal piracy at the start of its independent history.
