Yes and while we’re at it, we should simply relinquish control of these companies to the government. Perhaps any company remotely journalistic in nature. For safety of course.

Not necessarily I think between government controlled social media and gigantic corporations where people have no say in anything there's a middle ground where a federated reality exists I think?
