As an iOS developer, I've often encountered mysterious issues with Xcode after using my Mac without restarting for extended periods.

I know the easiest way to fix this is to reboot the mac regularly, but I forget to reboot it sometimes for as long as 3 months.

To address this, I created RememberRestart, a small app that reminds you to restart your Mac at optimal intervals.

I'm eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Check it out on GitHub.

I can't remember ever having to restart my Mac outside of system updates.

My personal impression of using this app is that just having uptime always displayed in the menu bar, even without notifications, has the effect of reminding me to restart when I encounter strange Xcode behavior and has improved my work efficiency.
