This is the most believable discussion that I have seen, identifying Hal Finney as Satoshi [1]. By no means conclusive, but certainly believable.

A few rabbit-holes if you want to know: IP leak, omitting attribution and later correction, backdating blog posts, Freudian slip in interview, top stylometric contender.
