I'm getting a kick out of the idea of Amazon charging the same amount for ebooks but the font size slowly shrinking over time

You laugh, but if pixels (or ink) was the expensive part of making a book I'm absolutely sure we'd see this.

Actually we do see it... Compare hard-covers to soft-covers and then to trade paperbacks...

I suppose you could make thinner and denser font in last one to make it even cheaper.
