Has anyone confirmed if LEV1 and LEV2 can continue to operate and communicate to earth independently from SLIM, if the SLIM batteries fail?

LEV-1 transmits directly to earth, and (based on what they said at the press conference) LEV-2 communicates via LEV-1.
