I personally love self-checkout because any items that stack neatly in the hand are automatically BOGO. Stores have this kind of shrink built into their profit margins and hey, if I'm to be my own checkout person, I expect to get paid for my work somehow!

I still reserve the right to frown on people who abuse the system more flagrantly like scanning all their items, then just walking out without paying. Here's hoping they don't ruin it for the rest of us.
