It is just a slur to dehumanise people! Most likely they lived in tent or some other structure. So calling them homeless is inaccurate.

SF needs better protection for people who live in mobile and temporary structures. They increase diversity and prevent gentrification! It should be illegal to demolish their home, without providing alternative accommodation!
