- We've known for years that the latest Android phones have leapfrogged the IPhone when it comes to specs and bells and whistles. It misses the point why people choose IPhone.
- An XPS is in no way shape or form comparable to an M1.
- There's no way that display is getting you battery life. Apple has been slow to adpot OLED, but it's understandable as they also prioritize useable battery life. So many competitors claim comparable battery life, but anyone whose used a variety of devices over the years knows that Apple devices are the only one that meet their claims (except for those intel 13 inch mbp, abysmal device, but they clearly learned their lesson)
- You are right. Apple watch truly has no competitor. All other smartwatches are somehow bad, and each iteration the Apple watch gets more useful.
I think I speak for most of us who use Apple devices: we wish they were more open, we wish they had better software in some cases. But from a hardware perspective, from an integrated ecosystem perspective, it consistently provides the best performance per watt, and consistently provides the least amount of hassle (again note the wording here: not that there isn't some hassle, Apple just has the least of it). It works as well as you could expect the chaotic intersection of buggy, rapid software development, complex hardware development and chip fabrication all in the context of high pressure managerial demands and deadlines from a trillion dollar corporation.
