In the original paper the superconductivity of the material is in the milliampere range, which limits the applications very much, besides its a ceramic.
If the material of the original paper turns out to be true, will not give us the superconductivity revolution we all desire, so I think it would not affect our lives in the medium term.
This material seems mainly a revolution for the superconductivity research field. And if it's found an easy synthesization method, it would affect the semiconductors field also, but I think we wouldn't see it applied to real applications in the medium term (I extrapolated ion-lithium batteries evolution).
