I actually do want to know what can humanity actually do to reduce risk here? Even if we were to attribute 7+ million dead to GoF research that doesn’t mean GoF research will be stopping anytime soon. It’ll just become hidden, and then if or when the next pandemic happens we may be in an even worse informational shitshow as various counties try to hide their own research sites or whatever.
