of course you shouldn't be mad at your friend. he is suffering and seeking relief. the sacklers and the cartels for sure are despicable. but they aren't responsible for your friend either. they didn't force him to take drugs. it sounds petty but i firmly believe for a number of reasons that it is very important to keep that in mind.
