nice tantrum - however, not only will you get decreasing quality of co-workers, the growth is in capture of the entire transaction and relationship by controlling 3rd parties.. insert management consultants, HR people, contracting houses and yes, indentured young males from poor places, who have their complete identity captured by the "company" that places them.
The alternate history of labor is.. most labor in many places was done by slaves or indentured workers over time. As coding is commodified with more rules, oversight and pre-built actions to be performed by button monkeys, the control of the workers is where the growth in earnings is.. You skilled intellectuals are just getting the flavor, now that the first booms are over.
I'm tired of working with dumbasses and greedy pricks.
I have zero interest in working with someone who does not have the innate drive to pick things up quickly and work in this industry. If you're looking to coast or make decent money, go to an old, F100 and leave the rest of us alone. If you don't have any useful skills, don't go into "adjacent" roles just because you want to leech off the rest of our work (devrel: who?; management: I need an assistant, not a manager; product manager: basically an annoying investor without any of the benefits; project manager: I'm not a junior with zero soft skills, I can scope, estimate, and communicate this to whoever -- I do not need you breathing down my neck; etc.). If you want a bunch of money for doing nothing at all, go be a sugar baby -- don't saturate the fucking market because you're a greedy little weasel.
