As an aside, it’s ridiculous that video got flagged as a video for kids and suggests downloading the YouTube Kids app.

FWIW I think the uploader sets this flag, not some algorithm.

It's not that simple, YouTube itself can also set it, and I'm not sure how that works, maybe it's algorithmic. Sometimes it's done manually.
