GPT-4 is more than good enough to be trusted. People have no idea what's coming. It's not good enough that it doesn't need some sort of supervision or oversight but lots of doctors/medical practitioners and lawyers are working under that anyway.
You can add all the caveats you want, but I suspect ml chat is stuck in the uncanny valley of not good enough to be trusted and not bad enough to be a toy.
