That's actually not true, we have American states that are 99% white and are a good test, they compare favorably to European states with the same demographics crime wise. (look at the north east)

Why isn't West Virginia, a dirt poor state that's almost fully white, a crime ridden state?

89% white*. Several reasons for WV not relating to race including an extremely low population density that is also shrinking and poor law enforcement.

Is this a joke? West Virginia is extremely crime ridden. Its homicide rate is a touch above the national average at 6.6 per 100k whereas France, which has a similar GDP per capita is at 1 per 100k. France may even have more black people!
