I can understand why people writing that type of code may be replaced: it has no use in real life.

It's easy to dunk on this when you imagine someone only using this to write all their code and "not doing any of the work".

But if you are a programmer and you write code all day, and you want what essentially amounts to an infinitely patient pair programmer sitting next to you, stuff like ChatGPT and Copilot can really make a difference.

Or if you're someone who doesn't code every day anymore, and you feel rusty and need some contextual refreshers on how to get things done (which is sometimes my case), these tools can really help you ramp back up fast without asking someone for their time to help you, or spending a lot more time digging through docs.

That is correct. But claiming it will replace developers is a bit too much.
