A sync tool that doesn't sync to iOS is useless to people who use iOS.
>So maybe "iOS folks" should reach out to Apple talking about why softwares like Syncthing (which is top notch!) is not on "iOS".
Why, though? Dropbox is working fine. iCloud even works fine. I suspect there's a client for whatever MS's sync tool is. Why should I care about a tool that doesn't even support iOS?
>If usability would have been a dealbreaker they might not have been on iOS in the first place.
That's hilarious. I'm literally ON iOS because I find the ability to "just get shit done" far and away better than any experience I ever had on Android devices. I don't care how YOU work, or what YOU find useful, so it's super weird that an article of faith among some Android folks is that iOS is somehow LESS useful universally, and that people who DO use are just mistaken.
Funny you say that because it doesn't appear you made any efforts to understand what they were saying.
Apple clearly does everything in it's power to make sure you do things theirs way (regardless of if it is 'superior' or not). If you feel like that helps you 'get shit done' then good for you, embrace the stockholm syndrome I guess. But please stop being rude to the rest of us for preferring more control and freedom.
Is there anything that is a dealbreaker for "iOS folks"? If usability would have been a dealbreaker they might not have been on iOS in the first place.
Let's just look at Syncthing not being on iOS - Apple makes sure things like Syncthing can't be on iOS. Mobius Sync does a trillion workarounds to give a semblance of being on iOS. So maybe "iOS folks" should reach out to Apple talking about why softwares like Syncthing (which is top notch!) is not on "iOS".
I mean for heaven's sake Apple keeps devices so limited and they themselves don't write softwares to fully utilise a device's capacities and features and don't let anyone else write them. I was reading Logic Pro on iPad comments a day ago and "iOS folks" instead of being enraged at Apple giving peanuts in terms of capability on a fully capable device (that too after years and then not opening it up for other devs), they were going crazy as if Jesus just made third appearance on the fruit company website.
