In Ender’s Game, the genius children of earth have their creativity and brilliance unwittingly co-opted by deceptive actors to advance xenocidal military objectives.
Perhaps, the genius children of earth in our own context are having their creativity and brilliance co-opted by deceptive actors to advance prospective capitalistic objectives.
“Colonize Mars! Extract near-Earth resources!” may be the 21st century ‘s siren call equivalent of “Go to College! See the world!”
