A stronger example would probably be New Zealand, just because stats from China are very difficult to ascertain. (China did a lot of things right, but they also did a lot of things very wrong.)

New Zealand, a small, wealthy nation that is famously isolated and has no land borders with any other countries.
It's an almost completely useless model to apply to countries like Bangladesh or Peru.
