Who needs less laws? Do AI companies need less laws? Or the general public? How come?

By "less laws" do you mean we should pick one law for everyone, or do you mean we shouldn't have laws about this stuff at all?

Who are the special interests are being favored by these local AI laws?

Your statement was lacking in detail. Were you taking about AI laws, or laws in general? Were you thinking of bad AI laws, like those allowing only the police to use facial recognition? Or were you thinking of profits in places where businesses can't use facial recognition? Were you thinking of the general population that doesn't want to be tracked by corporations and the government? Were you thinking that centralized government is better than local government? That more laws are inconvenient to large corporations and people who travel a lot? AI laws are something new, and I was curious why new laws are being opposed.
