As a young software engineer in the early 90s, I learned AWK because it was a powerful tool for text processing and data manipulation. Back then, we didn't have access to the sophisticated data analysis tools that we have today, so we had to rely on more primitive tools like AWK to get the job done. With its ability to quickly search and manipulate large text files, AWK was a game-changer for me and many others in the industry. Even today, decades later, I still find myself using AWK from time to time for tasks that require fast and efficient text processing.

This commentor is a troll, see history if the above comment isn't enough.

Edit: what the fuck is going on?

Looks like they have a history of using chatGPT to post comments, specifically.

Right, but somehow they've been the top post for 1/2 hour and I got modded way down for pointing out it was an obvious troll. I hesitate to comment because I assume that's what the script kiddie is looking for out of this.

I think the problem you're running into is that this particular comment looks human written?

I don't get how you could conclude I'm a troll? I'm not spamming nor arguing with anyone, just sharing my opinions and experiences.

No, you're copy/pasting low-effort ChatGPT babble.
