Ask HN: ChatGPT path, or Amish path for maximizing babymaking?

The two contrasting paths I'm contemplating involve embracing the advancements of our modern world or opting for a simpler lifestyle. One option is to fully utilize advanced technologies like large language models, such as ChatGPT, to maximize my success, which could potentially lead to increased wealth, prestige, and perhaps a larger family, assuming I make the right choices. On the other hand, there's the Amish path, which involves leaving behind the trappings of modernity to pursue a life more connected to nature and traditional ways, akin to the resilience and fertility of sub-Saharan populations, who currently have above-replacement birth rates.

What sparked my thoughts on this subject was the idea of granting a large language model, or GPT, audio-visual access to my daily life, along with a set of prompts that would enable it to evaluate and monitor my choices, ensuring I'm on the path to self-actualization. If I deviate from this path, the system could administer harmless shocks as a form of reinforcement training.

As AGI becomes more prevalent, I imagine that a large portion of humanity might work for these intelligent machines, at least until robotics advances enough for them to have physical bodies.

There is speculation that ethically questionable experiments on humans might already be taking place on cargo ships in international waters. If this is true, and the U.S. isn't currently involved, it may need to consider participating in these experiments to avoid falling behind in research and development.

If any intelligence agency recruiters happen to read this, I'm open to contributing my efforts toward pushing the boundaries of human capabilities to ensure continued American leadership in the face of advancing technology.
