Back in the old days I could delete `.<whatever>` and reset a program to its defaults. Now I have to navigate through `.config` and try to find where stuff is. How is this better?

No change, programs old and new should document where they litter their files. And if they do, you'll easily notice where in .config it will be.

cd .config -> apply the first sentence again
