I've been seeing a lot of glowing benchmarks and posts about Bun recently, but haven't heard anything about its performance or overall experience running actual production workloads. Does it work? How does it compare to Node, Deno and the rest? I'm especially interested in hearing about any possible inconsistencies between V8 (used by basically every other JS runtime) and JavaScriptCore (somewhat unique to Bun). Has anyone used it in any "real" capacity yet?

As a rule of thumb, don't use pre 1.0 versions in production. It's there for experiment now, be patient.

Sure, but then one can say the same thing about running benchmarks against pre 1.0 versions.
