It's a forum - that's literally what it's for. You read TFA, you read the comments and you participate in the conversation.

I think you and I interpreted the parent comment differently. I meant, the point isn't to read every comment, the point is to dive in to the conversations that interest you (including reading and participating in those conversations).

I fed them all into my A.I. for filtering and still thought it was too much but part of that was that the algo I was using isn’t specialized for comments (doesn’t take into account relationships with other comments). I do ingest top scoring comments though.

I think filtering comments is promising but if I do any tuning up for it it might be from metafilter where I think the comments are better than the posts.
