Am I going to get compensated for the breach or is this just another "oopsie whoopsie uwu we did a fucky wucky" where nothing in the fundamental security model will not change?

They're going to insure it instead of ensure it won't happen again, so next time they'll get compensated when they give out their password.

Mindless comments like these are not useful to the discussion. You are speculating on something that didn’t even happen, if indeed it’s just a newsletter provider that got beached.

Namecheap is still responsible for the third parties they work with. But nobody “gave your password”.
