Why do you even need to care about this as a user?

And mind you this is a front end tool.

They did a big change of stuff that people depend on, without consulting the community, and then doubled down, threatened people that wanted to fork, all with a weird passive-aggresive tome.

You don't need to care about this as a user. That's my point. People at HN complain about elm things that won't affect you.
