A $2T loss in asset worth is much different than $2T of liquidity. People often confuse the two, but they're incredibly different.

Consider how mortgage derivatives relate to the underlying asset. It feels like crypto has made credit default swaps look like a child’s toy. They say it’s all on the chain, but there are a lot of chains.
