Google CEO/Execs are MBA types. Not true born and bred entrepreneurs like YC founders, entrepreneurs etc. Sama, Elon Musk etc have a huge appetite for risk and they are willing to accept the consequences for their failure.

The MBA types who are used to a slow moving + structured environment are pretty much sitting ducks. They just want to keep going as is for as long as possible.
