In a past life, I grokked the gimp.

I joined IRC to humbly propose a feature. "Why would anyone want that?"

Not copying anything useful from Photoshop was a point of pride.

Congratulations on 27 years of existence. Congratulations on regular GSoC acceptance since 2006.

GIMP didn't have any actual improvements to offer, but they went out of their way to NOT make a PS clone, out of sheer pettiness and ego. Like, magic wand tool is called fuzzy selection or something? Why? Why introduce a point of possible confusion for no reason whatsoever?
