Imagine how out of touch are you, thinking independent companies owe you money forever, because they once ran ads on your platform (... when it was still working).

Still seems to be working fine. Alot less pedophiles on the platform though so I can see how some people are disappointed. These advertisers lost their core demographic.

Tell me you didn't read the article, without telling me you didn't read the article.

Tell me your entire background without telling me your entire background. 50% of the large companies are selling to pedophiles only, is that your best conclusion. Well I guess they moved their ads to the pedophiles on the other social networks now.

No I did not read the article, as it's nothing more then propaganda. How many hit pieces have been run on Musk and Twitter on this forum recently? If it's ok to blankety label conservatives as white supremacists, why can't we do it to these companies that were ok running adds on a network facilitating pedophilia? Do you have any idea how much of a problem it was? We can have zero tolerance against hate speech but allow just a little pedophilia? Ridiculous.

The HN audience really fascinates me. I can never figure it out. It's supposed to be a place of intelligent discussion on the technology sector but then you get QAnon adjacents hanging here as well. I recently discovered Ars Technica commenters, and that is my crew. It's much closer to the people I have worked with in tech for the last two decades now.

It's very easy to get an account here. In fact, I provided no email, and a password which I forgot. I literally can't log out. But point being is, registration is low effort.
This is good when there's no incentive to come here and troll. Communities like this one will stay sane as long as they're niche and unpopular. Once they become popular... well I think Elon sees with his own eyes what happens on Twitter.
Great plan he's got there. Instead of berating, wouldn't he be better off begging or at the very least asking nicely?
