it is not callous to get a child just before an expected years long prison sentence? i'd say that's failing at parenthood from the scratch

I already alluded to that in my comment. She also had her entire 20s and 30s to have kids but decided to run a fraudulent company. At least one employee, one who tried to whistleblow early but was fired by Holmes, committed suicide, and who knows how many received flawed medical results. I understand her age, again why I mentioned it, but I'm not sure I feel bad for her. There are other arrangements that she could do, and giving birth to kids and letting them grow up while she spends 10 years in prison is irresponsible, in my opinion.

Holmes is a serial liar and a sociopath who has not once shown remorse, admitted any guilt, taken responsibility, or held any accountability for anything she has done. She continues to use a fake voice and insists it is her real voice. Is it really that much of a stretch that at least part of the reason she had kids was to affect her verdict and then subsequent sentencing?

Also, I haven't seen it mentioned why she is only having to report by April, but I can only assume it is because she's pregnant.

I read, like 10-15 posts daily on social media where people mentions that they have decided to postpone parenthood simply because their circumstances aren't favorable (mostly finance related).

When I read about Holmes in light of those posts, I'd say she is some sort of callous and insensitive person. She never once gave a shit about ethics, people's lives etc. Who knows she decided to have kids simply because it might reduce her sentence rather than because she really wanted to have kids like rest of us do.

There are special female sections at some jails esp for woman that is pregnant or has babies - afaik they can stay with the mom until they need to go to school.
