Can they move that fast? If they push for an offering now, they'll still have to wait another six months or so to actually sell any stock.

You're probably correct that Facebook will have difficultly expanding their focus. So what. LinkedIn is still a broken product, and Facebook will continue gaining users just by doing their thing. If I were LinkedIn I'd be selling in a hurry.
