I'm sorry, I'm entirely unimaginative -- but I can't think of a use case for an "end-user" offline Redis server (regardless of O/S) that is better served by redis' sweet spot than by a local sqlite or postgres install. Can you help me here?

If you already have an app developed which uses redis, and want to provide an offline version, it's much less work to run a local redis than to rewrite the storage backend. Yes, it might have made sense to just use sqlite from the beginning, but we don't always have the luxury of perfect future requirements knowledge.
