But also the implication here is that someone shouldn’t undertake any action that might be perceived as popular near a mid-term election, which begs the question then why would anyone be allowed to do anything popular or critical during the same time frame? Should we have a moratorium on all of these “Biden is raising your taxes” ads since we are saying it’s unfair for him to undertake a popular action?

And then why limit it to elections. Why not ever?
