Has the author not see. The collective shrug from society when it comes to security? Why are they surprised? People still flock to Facebook and google in droves. And now Tik tok. Clearly people do not give any fâs about privacy and security.

People shift there because the content creators they like are there. A huge portion of the Facebook and Twitter user base is into news and they can shrug about security but if the journalists don't then they won't get their fix.
