Re:A vaccine for Lyme disease is in its final clinical trial by conqueso on Sunday August 14, 2022 @10:53PM (#32465355)
Lyme is scary. As an avid MTBer I'm constantly worried about ticks - I get too hot while riding for long pants/ sleeves to be an option, and I cannot stand the nastiness of deet. I'm pretty vigilant about checking myself - but if one were to get on my scalp I don't think I'd ever find it. This is great news.

From the article: Aside from the potential vaccine, another weapon against Lyme is also in the works: a monoclonal antibody developed by MassBiologics, which is part of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The first phase of human trials for the antibody is expected to conclude this month, with a second phase likely starting next spring.
