Sea levels have risen about 100mm since 1993, and the rate of increase is indeed increasing

It's still quite slow, and we're probably still a hundred years off under water piers. It's currently rising at a rate of 3.7mm/year

Seeing this comment got me wondering how sea level is actually measured. Found this article from NASA[1] that was really interesting!
