How are the options for connecting a Quest 2 to a desktop PC?

Can you use it as a virtual desktop, like Arcan Safespaces: https://arcan-fe.com/2018/03/29/safespaces-an-open-source-vr...

What about writing code in VR with unlimited virtual monitors/windows?

Yes you can use a Virtual desktop and connect via usb-c.

I purchased a streaming VR service and played games on Steam not available on Oculus store using my Quest 2. Greatly expanding the number of games you can play.
