My office had a policy of flexible home/work before Covid. The default attendance was at work, but working from home was possible at any time provided you worked out any issues which normally require your in person attendance.

This flexible policy is evidently very progressive. How many people could say that was the case before Covid?

Today managers have answers to the unknown factors: employee home office setup, employee competence for maintaining their home computer, and de facto productivity.

I don’t see how we ever go back.
