"Android app can't keep a connection alive" is a websockets problem with what ever you are using to proxy connections to your Mattermost server

I've gotten it working correctly with nginx

I prefer Caddy proxy and with Caddy it's just a single reverse proxy line (it handles the websockets transport seamlessly)

Nope, it works with other clients, WebSockets work with other software and Mattermost's worked before one of the recent updates.

Not to mention, when it loses the connection it doesn't re-establish it the same moment automatically.
