100% this goes on at amazon all the time. One time, I googled the last name origin of a whole orgs management structure. All of them were from the same part of India, without exception.

This is not caste, This is regionalism, This is like saying i can see entire depts with lastnames that sound french or spanish. India is like european union if you think about it.
