Is there any easy way to follow a couple of Twitter accounts in chronological order without having a Twitter account? Nitter is nice to follow individual accounts, but you have to go to each account 1 by 1 rather than create a personal timeline with chronological posts from different accounts.

I use fraidycat (browser addon) for this. You can import/export your follows as html/json/opml too if you want to move. While not necessary, a nitter instance also replaces twitter.com, primarily for the rendering speed. It's funny that alternative frontends became a thing

Cool, it's available as an AUR package in Arch Linux too: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/fraidycat-git

Use nitter.net and just use nitter.net/handle1,handle2,handle3

The Fritter app has this capability, if I remember correctly.
