Microsoft still fields about 4 or 5 different ERP products from various acquisitions under the Microsoft Dynamics label with no attempts to merge them. If the two products are so architecturally different, the most likely case is they will both coexist, or one of them will die with appropriate feature enhancements and a migration path to the other.
