The keyword I read through this is that your brass ring is a $150K LOAN. For this loan, you obligate 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks a year, if I recall my reserve obligation right. If you are doing it just for the money, I'd suggest don't. Find some other path. If you are interested in the reserves because of your patriotism and/or sense of duty, then by all means explore it.

I enlisted in the Army for college money. Were I to do it over again, I would have gone through ROTC and made connections as an officer. Connections I would be able to use to help in business once I was done with military service.
