Is there a reference? I had the first gen (air) as my personal driver and couldn't have been more happy. I thought most user were pretty happy too.

Add my vote as a satisfied user. The M1 Air is the best personal laptop I've ever used. The battery life is just impeccable, it has plenty of power for what I need, and I imagine the longevity of this thing will be great because of the lack of fan and entry points for dust.
