I feel so bad for Sophie Zhang. Not only did she risk her job to whistleblow, but she had the limelight totally stolen from her by Frances, even though she said many of the same things already months prior. And it wasn't Frances' fault, but rather the big three media companies in the US who didn't really bother to cover Sophie's work, and then follow on publications like this one referring to Sophie as "the other".

If the message is what matters, and both are delivering the same message, why does it matter who gets known for it? Opinions like these give way for accusations of fame-seeking, which will be doubled down when one of these whistleblowers inevitably writes a book or goes on daytime TV.

I think Business Insider's title should have said "Earlier Facebook Whisleblower..."

Facebook is probably now scouring through the Big Tobacco playbook for what to do with more than one high-profile whistleblower giving internal documents to the Feds. I can't see how Facebook gets ahead of all this in any way. They're deluding themselves if they think they can.

I'm convinced at this point that Facebook is currently being attacked by a state intelligence agency.

I absolutely loathe Facebook, the product as well as the company, but what is going on right now with it is extremely interesting to see. I don't think all of this is entirely organic.
